A Red Thread Adoption Services, Inc. is a non-profit agency licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island to provide adoption services.
Red Thread Adoption Services provides:
- Counseling to help you sort out the questions and find answers.
- Home study services for those seeking domestic or international adoption.
- Information and referral services pertaining to adoption option; and post placement services to help new adoptive families get off to a good start.

Adoption Rhode Island is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to finding families for children in state care and supporting those children and families throughout the adoption process. We also provide child, youth and family support services, education, training, advocacy, and referrals. We are proud to have found adoptive families for more than 1000 children, over the years, but there are hundreds of others in Rhode Island at any given time who need forever families.
Adoption Rhode Island's Mission is to facilitate the permanent placement of children waiting in state care and promote adoption as a positive way to create a family. We provide pre and post adoption services to families, advocate for public policy to promote a child's right to a safe environment and a permanent family, and increase public awareness of the unmet needs of these children.
The Rhode Island Foster Parents Association (RIFPA)

The mission of the Rhode Island Foster Parents Association is to provide education and other forms of support to families that provide substitute care, and to the community at large, in order to further the cause of children who cannot live with their parents.
As a resource for foster families, the RIFPA emphasizes the importance of learning from experience and using new found knowledge to improve current practice.
